A Day At Hell's Gate

Children fee is Ksh 200 and USD 15 respectively. Once you get inside, located close to the entrance of the park is a 25-metre high rocky tower known as the Fischer Tower. In the Maasai folktale, the tower is considered a Maasai girl who was turned into stone after disobeying the family before her wedding.

The chief attraction to this park is unequivocally Ol Njorowa Gorge. Having a walk in this gorge is a wonderful escapade; a trek of geological experience of splendor, water eroded walls so narrow that they almost block out the sky, several hot and cold waterfalls, hot water springs, and colorful strata and rock formations. Prevalent wildlife in the grassy plains are giraffe, eland, hartebeest, buffalo and other small gazelles and antelopes. Particularly rare are the lions, cheetah and leopard. Living in the rocky are small troops of klipspringer and rock hyrax as well as the rare Chanler's mountain reedbuck.
